Late in the second period Wednesday night against the Wild, Martin Jones sticks out the left pad to deny Minnesota's Zach Parise of a prime scoring opportunity. Jones was perfect all night long, stopping all 28 shots he faced, notching his fifth-career NHL shutout.

Mike Richards opened the scoring for the Kings Wednesday night in Minnesota as the club exploded for four first period goals. Richards redirected a Dwight King shot past Minnesota's Darcy Kuemper, and the two united for a solid fist bump to celebrate.

Drew Doughty rushed end-to-end to score a marvelous goal in the opening seconds of the third period Tuesday night in Nashville, beating Pekka Rinne with a shot low to the five-hole to tie the game 3-3. Doughty wasn't shy in expressing his excitement.

Tyler Toffoli buried his ninth goal of the season to give the Kings a 3-0 lead against the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night. Toffoli used some slick stick-work, tucking the puck past Darcy Kuemper with a back-hand shot.

Minnesota's Darcy Kuemper, after giving up his fourth goal of the night to Justin Williams with eight seconds to play in the first period Wednesday night, wasn't too pleased with the situation. He allowed four goals on 10 shots faced, and was pulled after the first period.
