David Van der Gulik Assigned To Manchester

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have announced the following player transaction.

Assigned to the Manchester Monarchs (AHL):

David Van der Gulik - LW

Originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round (206 overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Van der Gulik has played in 48 career NHL games with the Calgary Flames (2008-'09) and Colorado Avalanche (2010-'14). He's ammassed 13 career points (2G, 11A), 10 penalty minutes, and a plus/minus rating of +8.

The Kings signed Van der Gulik to a one-year contract on July 1.

In three preseason games with the Kings, Van der Gulik notched one assist, a plus-one rating, two shots, four hits, and two blocked shots in a combined 36:04 minutes of playing time.

The Kings have 28 players remaining on their 2014 Training Camp roster.
