For the fourth year of Bark Madness, we'd thought we start off the tournament with a parade...

...OF DOGS RUNNING ON ICE!!!

It's the ultimate bracket that determines who is the toughest... who is the grittiest... and which player on the LA Kings has the most adorable pet dog!

Bark Madness Presented by Zignature is back! This is the fourth year of the tournament and this time... the competition is RUFF!!!

Gustl Kopitar, Emma Pearson, and Arlo Dowd have each achieved greatness by being named the best LA Kings dog. This year, who will join them in the Bark Madness Hall of Fame?

The seeding has been finalized, and we are ready to hit the ice!

No. 1 HANK MARTINEZ vs No. 16 ACE BAILEY

There is a new No. 1 Seed for the first time in Bark Madness history!

Even though Hank Martinez, a 5-year-old Blue Heeler/Beagle mix, lost in the 2017 Bark Madness Final he comes into this year's competition as... well, literally... the top dog.

HankMartinez2017KW

Gorgeous ... and so is the dog.

Facing off against Hank is the absolute definition of a rookie in this competition.

Ace, a 4-month-old Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix is a rescue dog whose relationship with his owner is... well, complicated.

No. 2 GUSTL KOPITAR vs No. 15 HOWARD STOLL

This is the first time that Gustl Kopitar, a 5-year-old Goldendoodle, has not been the top-seed in a Bark Madness Tournament.

And we heard a rumor that Gustl is so upset with this amount of disrespect... that he's refusing to talk to any media.

Tweet from @NHL: "I'm sorry, sir. Not doing interviews right now." pic.twitter.com/goh9seFD9S

Gustl wants this so bad, he's in the gym 24/7.

While Howard Stoll, a 1-year-old Golden Retriever, is completely comfortable being around various members of sports media.

No. 3 EMMA PEARSON vs #14 BENTLEY ARMSTRONG

Emma Pearson is a 5-year-old German Shepard/Border Collie mix that has quickly become an LA Kings fan favorite.

Bark Madness is truly a special time of the year because it's always great to see photos of Tanner Pearson and his best friend!

Oh, whoops sorry... wrong photo!

Bentley Armstrong looks just as tough as his owner, former LA Kings forward, Derek Armstrong.

OK, honestly I have no idea who looks tougher.

No. 4 DODGER TOFFOLI vs No. 13 NIKKI RAE ROBITAILLE

In a matchup of heavyweights, 8-year-old Dodger Toffoli is a Toy Yorkie who comes into this compet--OH SHUT UP AND JUST SHOW US PHOTOS OF DODGER AND TYLER!

#ToffoliBest

Nikki Rae Robitaille is a Pomsky puppy with some of the softest hands in NHL history.

Sorry, we meant that she's being held in the softest hands in NHL history.

No. 5 DARYL MUZZIN vs No. 12 SAM GRAVEL

Daryl Muzzin is a St. Bernard that is shaggy-haired and is known to shut down other dogs with his speed and size... WAIT A SECOND HERE!

Sam Gravel is a Shepard Mix, who much like his Dad, is a rookie in this tournament.

No. 6 BO CARTER vs No. 11 EDDIE THOMPSON

Each year, we are stunned how Jeff Carter's three amazing dogs never seem to make it past the 2nd Round.

But after some research, we realized that maybe having all three of the Carter dogs in Bark Madness was diluting their votes.

So this year, only the relentless 4-year-old Shih Tzu, Bo, will be representing the Carter Family. Remember, Bo is bow-legged and he is hoping to raise awareness of adoptable special needs dogs in rescues and shelters across the country.

Nate Thompson has only been in LA for only a month. But his dog, Eddie Thompson, is a 19-month-old lab that is so Hollywood, he already has his own presence on social media!

No. 7 MILO BROWN vs No. 10 PARKER MITCHELL

For the past few seasons, Milo Brown has had to deal with being the "other" Goldendoodle on the LA Kings. But much like his father, Dustin, Milo is poised for a big comeback this Bark Madness season.

And already, some LA Kings TV personalities are starting to pick sides.

Tweet from @KingsMenPodcast: Bark Madness begins this week and this year I'm endorsing...MILO BROWNDustin Brown is having a bounceback season... why can't Milo???Milo, The Original Royal Doodle pic.twitter.com/u7uVVgU1cI

Torrey Mitchell has a Bulldog named "Parker?"

No. 8 REGGIE DOUGHTY vs No. 9 PEARL PHANEUF

Our last Bark Madness 2018 matchup could be our best.

As new teammates and Power Play linemates, Drew Doughty and Dion Phaneuf, are going head-to-head. Or tail-to-tail, rather.

Reggie Doughty, a 6 year-old Beagle, has been a favorite of LA Kings fans the last few years, ever since he burst onto the scene as Drew Doughty and Trevor Lewis' newest housemate.

Now, Reggie is a grizzled veteran and even trains with his Dad in the off-season.

PICTURED: Doughty, training in the off-season

After spending time in Calgary, Toronto, and Ottawa, Phaneuf has been playing some of the best hockey of his career with the LA Kings. And his Miniature Schnauzer, Pearl, is also in the best shape of his career.

I'm sorry, I meant Pearl's ears are stuck in a shape.
