True North Sports & Entertainment are pleased to host the Winnipeg Jets Toy Drive at the game on Dec. 16 versus the Buffalo Sabres. True North and the Winnipeg Jets encourage fans to bring an unwrapped gift or cash donation, which will be donated to The Salvation Army.
The Winnipeg Jets Toy Drive begins at MTS Centre doors open at 5:30 pm on Dec. 16. Unwrapped gifts and cash donations will be collected upon entry into MTS Centre. All gifts and proceeds will be given to The Salvation Army in time for the holiday season. In 2013, The Salvation Army raised a grand total of $327,593.29 in toy and cash donations. This translated into more than 16,000 toys for children in need in Winnipeg.
The Winnipeg Jets would like to remind fans there are tickets currently available to the third annual Winnipeg Jets Skills Competition on Dec. 17 at MTS Centre. The Skills Competition will see Winnipeg Jets players compete head-to-head in five skill events. The glass will once again be removed from the sides of the rink to give fans an up-close look at their Winnipeg Jets. Ticket prices are $15.00 for lower bowl and $10.00 for upper bowl, service charges included. Tickets are available through www.winnipegjets.com. Proceeds from the Winnipeg Jets Skills Competition will benefit the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation and the NHLPA Goals and Dreams Fund.
