On the fans and atmosphere:
"You're not going to get that on a regular season game, but we get it better than anybody else. I do believe, and I'll say this just as much from talking to people on the street — people that come up to you and talk about your hockey team — that they did appreciate the effort. We're going to try and make things better for next year, beyond our effort. But there was an appreciation there and the fans showed it."
On the series:
"Anaheim was better than we were in this series. Those three games were close, but there's luck in a game, but over a potential series, the better team almost always wins and they were better than we were. But we're a whole hell of a lot better than we were last year at this time."
"I didn't want this to end. We had a really good thing going. The guys battled all year to get in, and we did some really good things. We just weren't able to get over the hump. I'm proud of how everyone played, we battled to the end."
"Our crowd was awesome again, especially at the end there where they kind of have it won, they were still cheering for us and you have got to have a lot of respect for that."
To the fans:
"Just thanks. I mean they're amazing. The fans that came to Anaheim and the fans all around the city. I knew we had great fans and a lot of support here. But these playoffs really show that this is one of the best, if not the best hockey city to play in."
On the series:
"It didn't feel like a series that ended up four nothing, it felt like a series where anything could have happened. We just couldn't find an answer. But give credit to them, they found a way to win every game."
On playing Winnipeg:
"Coaches when they're looking they're going 'who don't you want to play?' and you never want to admit it. But Winnipeg was the one team that was coming in with the hardest schedule down the stretch, and they were beating all these good teams. So you knew it was going to be a hard battle. I didn't expect it to be four and oh in my wildest dreams, I thought it was a minimum six or seven game series."
On bouncing back:
"We responded really well after they had a goal. And to me that tells me that the group was pretty determined. The crowd was so loud after they got a goal or at the beginning, but they didn't allow that to deter them."
On the win:
"Our guys did a great job tonight at answering everything that was thrown at us. Our goalie once again played great and we had some guys step up and score some big goals for us."
On the series:
"We didn't have to play as long as I thought we'd have to. We thought this might have been a little bit of a longer series, but I was happy with the way our group responded. It was a hard fought series, a lot of bodies thrown around. You look at the scoresheets at the end of the night, we have the bruises to prove it."
On playing in the playoffs:
"Any kid young growing up dreams of playing on an ice surface like that, with a crowd like that. It's no better situation. It's so fun, it's a whole different game."
