New season, new numbers

by Ryan Dittrick (@ryandittrick) / Winnipeg Jets

Alexander Burmistrov and Connor Hellebuyck will have a new look this year.

Burmistrov will now wear number 91 after previously donning single digits (8 and, most recently, 6), while Hellebuyck will move to number 37 after wearing number 30 in his rookie season.

Hellebuyck’s number 37 will be complete with a patch sewn inside the jersey honouring the late Dan Snyder, who spent parts of three seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers from 2000 to 2003. The Winnipeg Jets organization would like to thank the Snyder family for their support.

In addition, off-season acquisitions Brian Strait, Shawn Matthias and hometown boy Quinton Howden will sport number 47, 16 and 21, respectively.
