The Winnipeg Jets announced they have recalled forward Patrice Cormier from the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Cormier, 24, has played in 21 games this season with the St. John’s IceCaps collecting 10 points (4G, 6A) and 32 penalty minutes. He was previously with the Jets this season after separate recalls on Oct. 25 & Dec. 8, but has yet to play a game for Winnipeg this season. Cormier has compiled five points (1G, 4A) in 49 career NHL games with Winnipeg and the Atlanta Thrashers. The Moncton, NB native has collected 85 points (40G, 45A) and 288 penalty minutes in 184 AHL games with St. John’s and the Chicago Wolves. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.
