Jets Agree to Terms with Michael Frolik

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have agreed to terms with forward Michael Frolik on a one-year contract worth $3.3 million.

Frolik, 26, played 81 games in his first season with the Winnipeg Jets in 2013-14. In that time, the left-handed winger recorded 42 points (15G, 27A) and 12 penalty minutes. The native of Kladno, Czech Republic has played in 430 career NHL games between Florida, Chicago and Winnipeg for 193 career points (76G, 117A) and 137 penalty minutes.

Frolik was acquired by the Jets from the Chicago Blackhawks on June 30/13 in exchange for Winnipeg’s third and fifth round picks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He was originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the first round, 10th overall, in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
