The Winnipeg Jets are pleased to announce they have agreed to terms with defenceman Adam Pardy on a contract extension of one year for $700,000.
Pardy, 29, played in 60 games last season with the Jets where he collected six assists and 38 penalty minutes. He also appeared in three games last year with the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League where he collected nine penalty minutes.
The native of Bonavista, NF has played in 260 career NHL games with Winnipeg, Calgary, Dallas, and Buffalo over nine seasons where he scored 39 points (4G,35A) and collected 209 penalty minutes. He also played in six Stanley Cup playoff games with Calgary in 2009 where he collected a pair of assists. Pardy was originally drafted by the Flames in the sixth round, 173rd overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
