Jacob Trouba named CCHA All-Rookie Team

The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club is proud to announce University of Michigan defenceman and Jets draft pick Jacob Trouba has been named to the 2013 CCHA All-Rookie Team.

Trouba, 19, has played in 33 games with the Wolverines during the 2012-13 season. The Rochestor, MI native leads all CCHA defensemen in goals and points, finding the back of the net 10 times and potting 25 points. Six of Trouba’s goals have been scored on the powerplay.

He was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the first round, ninth overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Determined by a vote of the conference’s head coaches, the CCHA All-Rookie Team will be honored at the 2013 CCHA Awards on Friday, March 22, at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. The 2013 CCHA Championship is March 23-24 at Joe Louis Arena. Tickets and more information are available at CCHA.com.
