The New York Islanders "We're All Islanders" School Assembly Program made their latest stop at West Middle Island Elementary School on Wednesday, November 7th to spread the importance of teamwork.  Former forward Steve Webb, radio announcer Steve Mears, Monica the Ice Girl, and Sparky all were on hand to explain just how important it is for the students to remember that teamwork is a vital part of day to day life.  Everyone in the school, from Kindergarteners to 5th graders were on hand to hear what the members of the Islanders' team had to say.  The floor was then open for some question and answer with Steve and Steve, producing some very thoughtful questions, such as the one directed toward Steve Mears by a young second grader, asking him what should happen if his microphone ever stops working during a broadcast.  The kids had a great time learning from the pros and all went home with a great sense of how important it is to cooperate with one another to reach a goal as well a great Islander gift bag and ticket discount to an upcoming game.
