Have your kids always wanted to try playing hockey? Here’s their chance! The Islanders are hosting the annual “Try Hockey For Free” day on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Nassau Coliseum. Registration starts at 11:45 a.m., and ice time begins at 1:00 p.m. This session is for kids who have little or no experience playing hockey, and Islanders staff members will be on hand to fit all participants with full equipment and instruct them in basic skating and fundamentals. Players who have any hockey gear or a bike helmet are encouraged to bring it to the rink.
