Isles Day-to-Day: Rittich to Start Against Flames

Fresh off a 1-0 shutout win over the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night, the Islanders hit the ice for practice on Friday afternoon in Calgary.

RITTICH TO START:

David Rittich will start in goal for the Islanders against Calgary. Rittich is 11-5-3 this season with a 2.39 GAA, a .910 SV% and two shutouts this season.

Rittich played five years in Calgary going 63-39-15 with a 2.83 GAA, a .908 SV% and four shutouts.

"A lot of memories. A lot of really good teammates I met through my years here," Rittich said of his time in Calgary. "Good staff members and all around was really nice and really good to me, so it's good to be back, but I would love to finally win here."

HORVAT AT HOME:

Bo Horvat will not join the Islanders on their road trip, the team announced on Friday. The Islanders center is still skating back on Long Island and is considered day-to-day.
