Sutton Set To Make Debut

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

Andy Sutton
The Islanders have announced that defenseman Andy Sutton is scheduled to make his 2008-09 debut on Thursday night in Philadelphia when the Islanders take on the Flyers.

Sutton has missed the team's first eight games of the season while recovering from a hand injury sustained in training camp, which required surgery.

The team has also reassigned defenseman Jack Hillen to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, the organization's top minor league affiliate.

Hillen played in six games with the Islanders this season and was a healthy scratch in two additional contests. He was scoreless with six penalty minutes. Hillen was signed last April as an undrafted free agent and played in the Islanders' final two games of the 2007-08 season.
