The "We're All Islanders" School Assembly Program made a stop at Mt. Sinai Elementary School on Monday, October 29th to help spread the important message of working as a team to over 350 students.  Eric Cairns and Steve Mears hosted the assembly, explaining to the children just how important it is to work together as a team in order to accomplish the goals set before themselves.  Sparky and Monica the Ice Girl were also on hand to show that players aren't the only members of the team.  Everyone from Sparky, Monica, Steve Mears up in the press box and Eric Cairns when he was on the ice had to all work as a cohesive unit in order for a game to be a great experience for the fans.  All the children went back to classes with huge smiles across their faces, a few things autographed, a little more knowledgeable on the importance of working together as a team, and with a gift bag filled with Islander goodies and a ticket discount offer.
