Preview: Islanders vs. Hurricanes

The New York Islanders head to Halifax, Nova Scotia Saturday for a preseason date with the Carolina Hurricanes. Puck drop is at 5 p.m.

The Islanders (2-3-0) are coming off a pair of split-squad losses to the Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils on Friday night. The Islanders lost 5-2 in Philadelphia and 4-2 in New Jersey.

The Hurricanes (0-2-0) are looking for their first preseason win after dropping their first two games. Veterans Eric Staal, Jeff Skinner, Justin Faulk and Eddie Lack are slated to play, as are top prospects Haydn Fleury (7th overall, 2014) and Noah Hanifin (5th overall, 2015).

Islanders Head Coach Jack Capuano has not released Saturday’s lineup. Stay tuned to Islanders social media for roster announcements and game updates.
