Hey kyle, how was your offseason and what did you do? what are your expectations for yourself and for the team this season??Trained hard, golfed a lot, spent a lot of time on Lake Minnetonka. As far as expectations, playoffs are our No. 1 goal, as is getting better every day.
does the team feel ready to step into the top 8 in conference play solidlyI think so. We are working hard a s a team together and our goal is to make the playoffs.
For your Kyle q's: When you have time for reading, what do you like to read. Any favorite authors?James Patterson. I try to read as many of his books as possible. My favorite is 'Honeymoon.'
Kyle, what hockey skill did you spend the most time working on during this off-season?Shooting. I shot the puck everyday, worked on getting it off quickly and picking spots.
Q for KO: Which Islander newcomer are you looking forward to playing with the most?All of them. They are all great players in their own right.
Kyle, I heard you hit a christmas tree with a puck or something one christmas? Is that true??True. Knocked it on to the floor while playing hockey in the living room. My parents banned me from playing hockey for the rest of the year.
Kyle, What team did you like as a kid?The Colorado Avalanche. Joe Sakic and Peter Forsberg are my favorite players.
Kyle, have you worked on any new shoot out moves for '10-'11? I worked on them a lot this summer. I don't want to give too much away on that question.
Kyle, what's been your favorite moment playing for the Islanders so far? I thing it's been being in the locker room with the guys. That's been a real highlight so far. I look forward to coming to the rink every day.
