Prospect Watch presented by Pulte
Islanders 2008 draft pick Corey Trivino scored the first goal of his college career, helping to lift Boston University to a 3-1 victory over rival Boston College. Meanwhile, David Toews—another 2008 pick—scored the first two goals of his college career. His second goal of the weekend came in the third period of a 3-2 game against Harvard to knot the score at three. He would later assist on the game-winner.

Elsewhere, USA National Junior Team representative Blake Kessel scored with less than two minutes to go in the third period of New Hampshire's contest against U-Mass Lowell to clinch a 3-2 victory.

In Canadian Junior action, defenseman Simon Lacroix and Shawinigan are back to their winning ways. After having their 15-game winning streak snapped, Shawinigan has won five straight, thanks to four assists by Lacroix in the past three games. And in the USHL, defenseman Matt Donovan scored three goals on the weekend and was named the USHL's Defensive Player of the Week.

Check out how all of the Islanders prospects did last week in this edition of NYI Weekly Prospect Watch.

Update: North Dakota swept a weekend series against Harvard by a combined score of 14-4. Gregoire recorded no points in the games.

What the Scouts are Saying: "I spoke to Jason after the game and he was disappointed with his play a bit. But I thought Jason played well. What I like best is his intelligence on the ice. Jason generated opportunities using his tenacity and his nose for the net. He was involved in the play, despite not putting up any points."

Team: North Dakota (7-8-1, WCHA 4-5-1)

Toews scored a power play goal early in the third period to tie Saturday's game at three and then assisted on the game-winner 1:30 later.

What the Scouts Are Saying: "I also spoke to David following the game, and he too thought he could have played better. One of his goals was scored because of a smart play. The puck went back to the point and instead of screening the goalie, he moved to the side of the net to get open and put the puck past the goalie when it came to him. David is also a smart player, but he still needs to work on his skating."
