Meet Mike, Ken Morrow, Coach Stirling, Islanders Players, the Ice Girls and Sparky at Islanders Iceworks!

The NYI Prospect Camp at Islanders Iceworks in Syosset on Sept. 10 and 11 will be open to the public. Make that very open to the public.

Fans will have the rare chance to not only catch all of the Islanders' top prospects in action, but they will be able to get closer to their favorite team.

At the conclusion of the first on-ice session, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10 from 1:30 - 3:30 pm, Islanders general manager Mike Milbury and Miracle on Icer and Islanders dynasty member/pro scouting director Ken Morrow will sign autographs and discuss the prospects and the 2005-06 Islanders.

When the Chalk Talk is done and the players have finished their off-ice work, young Islanders such as 2002 first round pick Sean Bergenheim, 2003 first round pick Robert Nilsson, Justin Papineau, Blake Comeau and Wade Dubielewicz will be available for autographs and meet the fans on Saturday.

Islanders head coach Steve Stirling and assistant coach Brad Shaw will talk hockey with the fans at the conclusion of the second session, set for Sunday, Sept. 11 from 10:00 am - noon.

2004 first round pick Petteri Nokelainen, 2005 first round pick Ryan O'Marra and top prospects Jeremy Colliton, Chris Campoli, Ryan Caldwell and others will be available for autographs after the meet-and-greet with the coaches on Sunday.

In addition, Sparky will be there to hang with the kids, the Ice Girls will hand out Islanders schedules and there will be a sale on Islanders merchandise at the Iceworks Team Store. Refreshments will be available. The event will also give fans the opportunity to check out the newly-renovated Islanders Iceworks, with beautiful murals of Islanders past and present throughout the dual-rink facility.

As an added bonus, we want our diehards to know exclusively that many Islanders veterans are expected to hit the ice at Islanders Iceworks for informal workouts on Prospect Camp weekend. Anyone getting to Iceworks an hour early on Sept. 10 or sticking around a little later on Sept. 11 may get a peak at some of their favorites.
