NHL BROADCASTS GO GLOBAL

Islanders-Rangers game streamed live on NHL Center Ice Online through 
Islanders TV



For the first time ever, people across the United States, Canada and the world saw the Islanders and Rangers battle it out live in the comfort of their home, right on their personal computer.

Through a cooperative effort between Neulion and Madison Square Garden, tonight's Islanders-Rangers game was broadcast LIVE on NHL Center Ice Online, which can be accessed through Islanders TV .

That means every goal, save and hit in tonight's game at Madison Square Garden was available online for everyone with a computer and internet access

The game was produced by MSG Network, and the NHL's new Center Ice Online package picked it up for internet broadcast.

NHL Center Ice Online is offering a free preview for the NHL Preseason and can be accessed by going to newyorkislanders.com, clicking on the Islanders TV   logo, and then the NHL Center Ice tab. Tonight's game was a special global preview without any blackout restrictions.

"We're very proud to say that our partners at Neulion have pulled off another unprecedented broadcast on the Internet," said Islanders general manager Garth Snow. "You want as many fans as possible to have access to a game like this. Thanks to Neulion and the NHL Center Ice Online package, any fan - and hockey scout, I'm sure - with a computer will be able to catch Islanders-Rangers tonight."

During the season, NHL Center Ice will carry all out-of-market games, with the ability to watch up to 4 games at a time with live stats and fantasy updates right through your PC.
