MSG Networks is the home of the first round of the NHL Playoffs

MSG Networks, New York’s home for playoff hockey, will have the exclusive local telecasts of six of the seven potential games, including Game 1, of the Islanders-Penguins 2013 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series on MSG+. The full schedule for the series is listed below.

On Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Islanders take on the top-seeded Penguins in Game 1. Coverage on MSG+ will include the “Visa Islanders Game Night” pregame show at 7:00 p.m. and postgame coverage following the final horn. MSG+ will also have exclusive local coverage of Game 2 and Game 4, as well as Games 5, 6 and 7, if necessary. Game 3 will be broadcast nationally on NBC.

MSG+’s Islanders coverage will feature play-by-play announcer Howie Rose alongside Islanders legend Butch Goring in the booth, as well as host Peter Ruttgaizer and reporter Stan Fischler.
