Greiss Starts: Thomas Greiss will start in goal tonight for the Islanders. Stephon Williams tended the other net at morning skate and is expected to back Greiss tonight.
30 Remain: The Islanders trimmed their roster down to 30 over the weekend. There are 19 forwards, eight defensemen and three goalies remaining.

Pulock Remains: While 20 players were loaned to Bridgeport over the weekend, Ryan Pulock remained with the Islanders. Head coach Jack Capuano said he wants Pulock around to have additional time with the players and coaching staff. Pulock scored in Saturday’s 5-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Pulock: It’s just another opportunity for me. I have to take advantage here. Tonight is another game that I get to try to showcase myself and show that I belong here.

“You are still competing for spots within the group here, for power play and all that kind of stuff. You have to show you’re ready. It’s different. Your mindset is that you have to be there when the season starts, when you’re younger you have to be there right away and show you belong."
Jack Capuano on what he wants to see in the last week of training camp.
"Competition, it’s about habits. We’ve got a good week of practice, we have the game on Sunday. Honestly it’s a battle for some guys right now. We’re looking at a couple of different line combinations tonight to see where we are going to be at."
