Westbury Manor event includes auctions and Deb Kaufman-moderated Q & A with the GM

In his continued efforts to benefit the youth hockey programs in China, Mike Milbury will host a special reception for fans on Sept. 7 from 7-9:30 pm at the Westbury Manor.

Milbury will mingle, sign autographs and present a State of the Islanders address. A Phil Donahue-style question-and-answer session between the fans in attendance and the GM will be moderated by FSNY Islanders studio host Deb Kaufman.

The 7-9:30 pm event will feature an open bar and hors d'oeuvres. There will be a Silent Auction, featuring an array of unique Islanders and NHL memorabilia. A Live Auction, beginning at 9, will include an exclusive trip on the Islanders' charter aircraft to a road game, including tickets and hotel.

Tickets for the event are $100 and are available by calling Steve Beisel at 516.501.6896 or emailing him at Proceeds from the event will go to the New York Islanders Children's Foundation, which will be used to support the growth of youth hockey in China. With your help, we will have the opportunity to finance a trip for children of the Chinese cities of Harbin & Qi Qi Har youth leagues to compete in the Bell Atlantic Tournament held in Ottawa this season. In addition, your donations will support the Chinese Women's National Hockey Team.
