0:18 - NYI PP (Sean Bergenheim - Two Minutes Interference) Isles PP 1-for-6

3:16 - FLA goal. Marcel Goc lets a long wrister go that fools Nilsson, hits the crossbar and goes in. Puck may have changed direction off Matt Carkner's leg. Islanders lead 3-2.

4:18 - FLA goal. Matthias picks up his second of the game and ties the score at three. Game Tied 3-3.

10:32 - FLA goal. Scottie Upshall puts the Panthers ahead with 9:28 to play. Nilsson can't find a Matthias rebound and Upshall taps it in at the side of the net. Panthers lead 4-3.

12:00 - Anders Lee rings a shot off the crossbar. Inches from tying the game.

14:13 FLA PP (Matt Carkner- Two Minutes Holding) Panthers PP 0-for-2

15:26 FLA PP goal. Scottie Upshall scores his second of the game. Panthers lead 5-3.

2nd Period:
1:50 - FLA PP (Matt Carkner - Delay of Game) Isles PK 2-for-2.

2:29 - Clutterbuck and Huberdeau each get two minutes for Roughing.

4:38 - NYI PP (Erik Gudbranson - Two Minutes Tripping) Isles PP 1-for-4

7:41 - Anders Nilsson comes up with a big breakaway save on Gudbranson. Nilsson stops the second chance too and freezes the play.

14:23 - NYI PP (Sean Bergenheim - Two Minutes Hooking) Isles PP 1-for-5

18:15 - FLA goal. Shawn Matthias gets the Panthers on the board, banging in a rebound past Nilsson. Visnovsky had a chance to clear the puck, but couldn't resulting in a turnover at the blue line. Islanders lead 2-1.

19:14 - NYI GOAL! The Islanders respond a minute later, as Ryan Strome slides the puck through Thomas' legs from the top of the crease. Assists to Vanek and Kyle Okposo. Islanders lead 3-1.

END OF 2ND PERIOD: Islanders 3, Panthers 1. Islanders lead shots 27-21

1st Period:
2:25 - Eric Boulton and Krys Barch drop the gloves in a lengthy tilt that started at the Isles blue line, went around the Islanders net and finished up in the slot. Five minute majors for both of them.

2:33 - Matt Carkner takes Boulton's spot on the fourth line, but Brian Strait starts a scuffle in the Panthers zone. All 10 skaters converge - Strait, Carkner and Jonathan Huberdeau, Shawn Matthais head to the box.

2:33 - Lots of penalties handed out, but no power plays.

6:41 - NYI GOAL! Thomas Vanek gets some time and space in the slot and makes no mistake, beating Thomas high-blocker side. Assists to Clutterbuck and de Haan. Islanders lead 1-0.

6:53 - NYI PP (Dimtry Kulikov - Two Minutes Delay of Game)

7:39 - NYI PP GOAL! Vanek tips home his second of the period and the Isles are up 2-0 on the Panthers! Assists to Lubomir Visnovsky and Frans Nielsen. Islanders lead 2-0.

9:28 - NYI PP (Jesse Winchester - Two Minutes Roughing), (Erik Gudbranson - Two Minutes Cross-Checking). Isles go on a two minute five-on-three. PP 1-for-1.

12:18 - FLA PP (Casey Cizikas - Two Minutes Holding) Panthers head to their first PP. Colin McDonald and Gudbranson each get two for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Nielsen In: Frans Nielsen was activated off the Islanders' injured reserve this morning and will play today against the Panthers.

Halmo Returned: Mike Halmo was returned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL) as his emergency loan was terminated.

Hamonic Suspended: Travis Hamonic is serving a one-game suspension for instigating a fight in the final five minutes of the Islanders game against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday afternoon.

Martin Out: Matt Martin is still day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
