Fifth-overall pick nets five points over weekend

Michael Dal Colle capped a five-point weekend with two assists on Sunday night as his Oshawa Generals defeated the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-2. On Saturday, Dal Colle scored a goal and added an assist in a 6-0 win against the Owen Sound Attack and recorded an assist in a 6-4 win over the Sarnia Sting the night before. Dal Colle now has five goals and 12 points in seven Ontario Hockey League games this season.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers:  3-2-0-0, 1st in Northeast Division, 3rd in Eastern Conference

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers finished the weekend 2-1-0, winning a pair of one-goal games. The Sound Tigers defeated the Albany Devils 5-4 in a shootout on Friday night and edged the Springfield Falcons 4-3 in overtime on Sunday afternoon. The only loss came to the Devils, 3-2, on Saturday. Defenseman Griffin Reinhart scored his first professional goal on Friday to send the game against the Devils into overtime. Forward Anders Lee led the way with three goals, tying him for the team lead with Harry Zolnierczyk.

Stockton Thunder: 2-1-0, 2nd in Pacific Division, 2nd in Western Conference

The Isles’ ECHL affiliate, Stockton Thunder started the season 2-1-0 this weekend. The Thunder dropped their season opener to the Bakersfield Condors, but responded with back-to-back wins over the Condors. Forward Peter Sivak led the way with four points (1G, 3A) while Phillipe Trudeau recorded his first professional win in goal, stopping 39 of 42 shots on Saturday night.
