A concussion limited Jarrod Maidens to just 28 games in his second season with the Owen Sound Attack, but he still played at nearly a point-per-game pace when healthy. In his first season, Maidens scored the biggest goal in Attack history when he netted a Game 7 overtime-winner, giving Owen Sound its first ever OHL championship. The 6’1, 174-pound Maidens plays a power forward’s game but is also seen as a strong skater. Off to play at Providence College in either the fall of 2012 or 2013, Mark Jankowski has played the past two seasons at Stanstead College — a private school in Quebec. Jankowski did not have the luxury of playing the strong competition that players coming from the Canadian Junior leagues or the USHL had, and as a result, scouts’ opinions of him vary widely. However, the scouts have not had trouble realizing that Jankowski is skilled. In 57 games this past season, Jankowski registered 53 goals and 40 assists for 93 points.
Ryan Strome, Islanders first round pick in 2011
He’s a good centerman, a good two-way player. He had some injury trouble, but is definitely one of the better 17-year-olds in the league. He would have put up good numbers if he had played the entire year.

Trent Klatt, Islanders Player Development
Mark Jankowski has strong offensive instincts. He has the ability to create scoring chances for himself and his linemates.
