The I.C.E. Tour was in Bethpage on Saturday morning to be a part of the grand opening of the newest ice rink on Long Island, the Town of Oyster Bay Bethpage Ice Rink. The Islanders RV and all of the interactive inflatables were on hand to kick off the opening of the beautiful new ice rink. Public sessions ran all day as guests and their friend Sparky got their first chance on the skate on the fresh ice. The new rink is beautiful and will be a new home to hockey on Long Island, so be sure to check it out.

On top of skating with fans at the opening of the Bethpage Ice Rink, Sparky also made several other stops in preparation for the holidays. It started with a stop at a Roslyn Savings Bank in Massapequa on Saturday morning where he took part in a Toys for Tots toy drive, helping the less fortunate to be able to still receive a gift this holiday season. On Sunday, Sparky stopped at the Sarah Grace Foundation’s holiday party, to bring some fun to an organization that works hard day in and day out to help children and their families overcome the challenges and hardships brought upon by childhood cancer. Sparky’s weekend extended to Monday night, where he was also a part of the Marty Lyons Foundation holiday party, where he met many of his mascot friends and had a great time with all the young children in attendance.
