HAROLD D. FAYETTE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS END SCHOOL DAY WITH A REAL TREAT

by Staff Writer / New York Islanders

The students of Harold D. Fayette Elementary School ended their Tuesday with a real treat as they were the next school visited by Islander alum Steve Webb and Eric Cairns for another “We’re All Islanders” school assembly.  The school, located just minutes next to Eric and Steve’s old home at the Coliseum, got to end their day with a visit from the alumni and their friends Sparky the Dragon and the Ice Girl Monica.  For a half hour, the students got to be a part of something really special as Eric and Steve showed a video with all the current players explaining the importance of teamwork, take part in a demonstration that involved a team of students working together against a teacher, as well as take part in a question and answer period with the alumni.  All the children has a great time seeing the gang and all went back a little more wise as they learned that all their classmates, no matter how different they are from one another, are all the same as a teammate, and are someone they can learn from and grow with.
