2012-13 season series (3-0-0)

The Islanders swept the season series from the Panthers last season, winning all three games in regulation. The Isles won two meetings at Nassau Coliseum (3-0, 5-2) and took the lone game in Sunrise 4-3, as Casey Cizikas scored the winner at 12:55 of the third period. Evgeni Nabokov posted a 26-save shutout on Mar. 24 and was in goal for all three wins.

Panthers player to watch
Brad Boyes - Forward

The former Islander faces his old team for the first time tonight. Boyes had 10 goals and 25 assists for the Islanders last year and has 12 goals and nine assists for the Panthers this season. The Mississauga, ON, native had a five-game point streak (3g/4a) snapped in the Panthers last game, but the former 40-goal scorer shouldn’t be taken lightly in the offensive zone. Boyes will shake a few hands before the game, but come puckdrop, it’ll be all business between him and the Islanders.

Calvin de Haan on Sunday's 4-2 win:
It’s good to have a team that can play the third period as their best period, whether you’re ahead or behind.
