11:55: Jack Capuano just finished speaking to the media. Matt Donovan and Brock Nelson are in. The scratches tonight will be Matt Carkner, Eric Boulton and Griffin Reinhart. More from Capuano later.

12:25: Capuano, on what he expects from Brock Nelson: "The one thing about Brock - I thought at the start of training camp he came in and he played safe. He played like any young guy and didn't want to make mistakes. But we need offense on our hockey team, and we need to be balanced. I had a talk with him and in the last two exhibition games, we saw what he can do."
12:30: Capuano, on what he saw from the Devils in last night's game: "It was a game that was high-paced at times and they were patient at times. New Jersey had some chances early. When you get chances early and you don't score, sometimes you get a little frustrated. They played physical and they played hard. I thought when they changed their lines the second half of the game, Peter (DeBoer) moved some guys around, they created some more offense. They're always a team that works extremely hard."
12:36: Travis Hamonic, on opening night: "It's been a long offseason for us, and obviously a long training camp as well. You want to get things started on the right foot. We have a big test here tonight. We know New Jersey is going to come out strong; it's their home opener. Especially given what happened last night. We can't be caught standing still early on in the game. I think everyone's really excited to get things going."
12:39: Brock Nelson, on if he prefers playing center or wing: "Wherever they want me. I think I've been able to play both in the past. I'll just continue to get better at both. If you can play both, it only helps yourself out in the long run."
12:43: Nelson, on playing his game more as training camp went along: "As each day comes, I think you get a little bit more comfortable with what goes on. As the weeks passed, I was able to settle in a little bit and relax and play. That was something they told me to work on during camp."
12:45: Matt Donovan, on what he has to bring tonight: "I'm playing the point on the power play, so I'm trying to put the puck in their hands and let them move it around and hopefully get some shots from the point to open it up for them."
12:47: Donovan, on his comfort level after playing three NHL games back in 2011-12 and returning tonight: "I think it's pretty much like starting over. Those three games feel like a long time ago. I feel like I have the same nerves as I did back then, but hopefully I'll get over those pretty quick. I had a good season last year in Bridgeport, so I'm hoping that carries over."Podcasts:Jack Capuano - 10/04/13Matt Donovan - 10/04/13Travis Hamonic - 10/04/13
