Wade Dubielewicz visited all the children in the Child Life Department at Stony Brook University Hospital following practice.  From the time Wade entered the hospital he was greeted by hospital staff and patients.  Upon making it up to the Child Life Department he was greeted warmly by the patients waiting for Wade in the hospital play room.  In the play room Wade made friends with a little boy named Corey.  The two of them went on to play a football game on Nintendo Game Cube.  From the play room Wade went bed to bed to meet all of his fans and to wish them all well.  The young patients were happy to see Wade.  They received autographs, pictures, and little Islanders prizes such as stickers and pencils.  Wade was happy he was able to take the time out of his schedule to visit the patients.  “I’m glad that I was able to come down to the hospital today.  Just to be able to make a child smile and to take their mind off being in a hospital for even a split second it was worth it.  I look forward to the upcoming holiday hospital visits in December,” said Dubielewicz.
