The New York Islanders announced today that tickets for the 2010 Draft Party are now available to the general public by either clicking on the link above or by visiting one of the Islanders Team Store outlets. The Draft Party is scheduled for Friday, June 25 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Tickets to this Islanders’ “Fan Friendly” event are free with an eight-ticket limit. Doors for the Draft Party open at 5:30 p.m. with the actual Entry Draft taking place in Los Angeles, beginning at 7 p.m.
Tavares, Moulson and Gillies will attend the Draft Party, modeling the team’s new road white jerseys. A raffle will take place throughout the night, allowing fans the chance to go home with either Tavares, Moulson or Gillies’ autographed jersey off their backs.
As well as having a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the Islander stars, fans will have the ability to watch the Islanders’ Hockey Operations staff in action at the Draft as they select at the fifth overall position. IslandersTV will provide exclusive live interviews with members of the staff as each selection is made. IslandersTV will also feature exclusive behind the scenes post-draft footage.
On the Nassau Coliseum floor, fans can take part in the numerous interactive games from the Fan Zam rides, locker-room tours, street hockey, video game stations and even a “Trevor Gillies
‘Stache Station.” Fans will also have the chance to purchase game-used equipment, official Reebok JT 91 merchandise and other unique Islander memorabilia.
