Blake Comeau and Kyle Okposo joined the I.C.E. Tour today as they traveled to the Huntington YMCA Summer Program. More than 300 children got to meet their favorite players and take home their autographs as the I.C.E. Tour set up the outdoor basketball court, transforming it into a hockey playground. Sparky the Dragon, the team’s official mascot was also in attendance signing autographs along with the players.  He even got involved in the interactive games and a street hockey game.  After signing autographs for all the children, Kyle and Blake each captained a team of children and faced off against each other in a pick up game of street hockey.

“It was an intense game but I think my crew of kids came out on top,” Comeau said while high fiving all of the campers.  “Seeing all of the kids smiling and having a good time while playing hockey is what its all about.  I’m glad both Kyle and myself got the opportunity to come to the Huntington YMCA today.”

“The kids were all terrific,” Okposo said.  “It was great to see so many of them show up with their Islanders gear on in the middle of the summer. You can feel their excitement for the upcoming season.”
