2015 Lighthouse Tournament: Day 1 & 2

Day 1: January 14, 2015

Harbin 8, Nassau 4

Harbin led 4-3 going into the third period, but four goals, including three by An Dongxu added up for the win. Dongxu finished with a natural hat trick and two assists, while Chen Rui scored two goals and Zheng Mingju finished with one goal and one assist. Justin Vlahopoulos finished with two assists for Nassau.

Qiqihar 4, P.A.L. 2

Four different players scored for Qiqihar in a 4-2 win over P.A.L. Late in the game, P.A.L. pressed late with an empty net but Qiqihar goaltender Xia Yu Xuan made some key saves with P.A.L. to preserve the win. 

Day 2: January 15, 2015

Nikko Jr. Ice Bucks 14, Ilves (Finland) 0

Aito Iguchi scored four goals and added one assist in a lopsided victory over Ilves to kick off the action on Thursday. Ikki Kogawa recorded a hat trick and added two assists while Koki Otake and Joshua Rei Noh each scored two goals. Rei Noh also chipped in two assists and Otake finished added n assist. Nikko captain Teppei Ueno finished with one goal and one assist.

Dr. Loupe Japan 13, Rinx 2

Junya Owa led the way for Dr. Loupe Japan, scoring five goals in a 13-2 win over Rinx. Rikuto Kakumaru scored a hat trick and Peyton MacMillian tallied twice. Hayate Toyoda finished with three assists and John McCon and Yuki Saito each finished with two. Russell Spatafora and Nicholas Barker notched goals for Rinx.

P.A.L. 5, Nassau 2

Tyler Zembrzycki and James McGarry both scored two goals as P.A.L. defeated the Nassau Islanders 5-2. Sean Kendrick added a goal and Justin McCormick finished with two assists in the win. Brendan Dixson and Andre Dergarabedian scored for Nassau.

Harbin 1, Qiqihar 0

Qiqihar goaltender Xia Yu Xuan surrendered only one goal, but it's all Harbin needed for a 1-0 win. An Dongxu scored the only goal of the game off a Zheng Mingju rebound. With the win, Harbin earned a spot in the championship game scheduled for Saturday.

Ilves 8, Rinx 3

Ilves got the offense going in an 8-3 win over Rinx. Teemu Erola scored a hat trick and added two assists while Niilo Mehtonen scored two goals and added two assists. Mathew Blackton scored a goal and added one assist for Rinx.
