HURRICANES TO TAKE ON WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPION
RALEIGH, NC (May 28, 2002) – Jim Cain, President and Chief Operating Officer for the National Hockey League Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that individual game tickets for the Stanley Cup Finals will go on sale Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. Tickets are available at the arena box office and all Ticketmaster locations. The Hurricanes defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in six games to win the Prince of Wales Trophy as the Eastern Conference champion and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals against the winner of the Colorado-Detroit series.
Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations: (919) 834-4000 in Raleigh/Durham, (336) 852-1100 in the Triad and (910) 223-2900 in Fayetteville. Tickets can be ordered on-line by visiting the Carolina Hurricanes’ official website at www.CarolinaHurricanes.com and can also be purchased at the ESA box office. The box office has extended hours of 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices for the Stanley Cup Finals range from $50-$275.
Tickets for Round 3, Game L on May 30 are now null and void and may not be used for entrance to any Stanley Cup Finals games. Refunds for the third-round Game 7 tickets are available through the point-of-purchase. Fans who purchased tickets at the Arena box office must return those tickets to the arena box office for a full refund beginning on Thursday, May 30 at 8 a.m. Tickets purchased through the Hurricanes sales staff will be automatically flagged for refund via the original method of payment. Tickets purchased at a Ticketmaster outlet (Kroger, Hechts, etc) must be returned to the original point-of-purchase for a refund. Online and charge-by-phone Ticketmaster purchases are automatically flagged and refunded to the customer’s credit card.
