NEW SEVEN-GAME PLAN GOES ON SALE NOV. 14
RALEIGH, NC (November 13, 2001) - Jim Cain, President and Chief Operating Officer for the National Hockey League Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team has added a new mini-season ticket pack option for the 2001-02 season. The “Stretch Seven” pack includes the most desirable home games on the schedule during the second half of the season.
“Our seven-game packs have been extremely successful, allowing our fans to enjoy some of the benefits of a season ticket holder without as much of a time commitment,” said Cain. “These new mini-packs make wonderful Christmas gifts, offering our fans an opportunity to see the Hurricanes take on some of the best teams in the NHL as they make their push in the second half of the season.”
The first game of the “Stretch Seven” plan takes place on Sunday, January 6 when the Hurricanes host Keith Primeau, Jeremy Roenick and the Philadelphia Flyers at 5 p.m. The “Stretch Seven” plan includes games against Mario Lemieux and the Pittsburgh Penguins (February 5), Jaromir Jagr and the Washington Capitals (March 8), the Flyers (Jan. 6, March 28), Pavel Bure and the Florida Panthers (January 25 and March 21) and the Atlanta Thrashers on Fan Appreciation Day (April 7).
Mini-season ticket packs provide fans with some of the advantages of a full-season ticket plan, including a discount off the gate price, a chance to purchase additional game tickets before they go on sale to the general public, and priority status to purchase playoff strips for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The “Stretch Seven” plans go on sale on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. and cost as little as $84 ($12 per game). For more information on how to purchase a mini-season ticket pack for the 2001-02 season, go to CarolinaHurricanes.com or call the Carolina Hurricanes at (919) 467-7825 or (888) NHL-TIX-1.
