FOX SPORTS NET TO TELEVISE GAMES 3 AND 4
RALEIGH, N.C. (May 1, 2002) – The Southeast Division champion Carolina Hurricanes and Fox Sports Net have agreed to broadcast Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Montreal Canadiens to all of North Carolina on Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9. John Forslund will provide play-by-play coverage from the Molson Centre in Montreal, assisted by color analyst Tripp Tracy.
ESPN will broadcast Game 1 of the series from the Entertainment & Sports Arena on Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m. ESPN2 will air Game 2 from Raleigh on Sunday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m.
ESPN2 will broadcast Game 5, if necessary, on Sunday, May 12 at 2 p.m. from the ESA. ESPN2 will also air Game 6 from Molson Centre on Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m. and a deciding Game 7 from Raleigh on Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m.
All seven games in the series will be shown on national television in both Canada and the United States on CBC, ESPN and ESPN2.
All games can also be heard on the Hurricanes’ flagship radio station WRBZ-AM (850 The Buzz), as well as the Hurricanes Radio Network. The Hurricanes recently added two new stations to the Hurricanes Radio Network: WCNC in Elizabeth City, N.C. and WZZO in Edenton, N.C.
