Pepsi Introduces Hurricanes-Themed Cans

RALEIGH, NC— Ben Aycock, Director of Marketing and Brand Development for the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced a new partnership campaign with Pepsi, called “PEPSI – Win a Taste of the ‘Canes.” The campaign centers around a series of six Hurricanes-inspired cans for Pepsi products, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew. The new can designs, which feature pictures of Hurricanes players, can be purchased at participating retailers statewide.

More than 28 million Hurricanes-themed cans will be distributed. The following players are represented on the cans:

Pepsi and the Hurricanes introduced the “Win a Taste of the ‘Canes” sweepstakes, in connection with the Hurricanes-themed cans, providing consumers and fans with the chance to win prizes including Hurricanes fan experiences. The grand prizes for the contest are six Hurricanes-themed vending machines that will be given away on Hurricanes Fan Appreciation Day.
