RALEIGH, NC (January 29, 2001) – Doug Piper, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the National Hockey League Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that individual game tickets for all remaining Hurricanes games in March and April will go on sale on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2001 at 10 a.m.

The Hurricanes will play eight games at the Entertainment and Sports Arena during March, including the first visit to North Carolina by Mario Lemieux when the Pittsburgh Penguins take on the Hurricanes on March 23, and two in April. Pittsburgh returns to the ESA in the regular-season finale on April 8.

Other March highlights include the first visit by the expansion Columbus Blue Jackets on March 7 and home games against Southeast Division rivals Washington on March 30 and Atlanta on April 6.

Here is a list of the Hurricanes’ games during March and April:

Wednesday March 14: Montreal Canadiens, 7 p.m.

Friday March 23: Pittsburgh Penguins, 7 p.m.

Monday March 26: Montreal Canadiens, 7 p.m.

Friday March 30: Washington Capitals, 7 p.m.

Friday April 6: Atlanta Thrashers, 7 p.m.

Sunday April 8: Pittsburgh Penguins, 1:30 p.m.
