Tickets offered buy one/get one free for North Carolina education professionals
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—Oct. 25, 2006 RALEIGH, NC—
The 2006 Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes today announced that they will host Teacher Appreciation Night, presented by Embarq, on Thursday, Nov. 9, as the team hosts the Washington Capitals for a 7 p.m. match-up. Embarq and additional sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Cree Incorporated, Drucker & Falk and Regions Bank are donating several thousand tickets to Wake County Public Schools for distribution within the central office and more than 150 schools.
In addition, all North Carolina education professionals are invited to take advantage of a special buy one/get one free offer for tickets to the game. Teachers and school administrators may purchase tickets at the RBC Center box office with valid school identifications. The offer excludes the upper level $10.29 seats, the Champions Club and the Ledge Lounge. CanesVision will honor educators throughout the game on the jumbotron, and many of the in-game activities throughout the evening will have educational themes.
The Carolina Hurricanes host the Atlanta Thrashers tonight at the RBC Center at 7 p.m. Following tonight’s game, the Hurricanes will travel to Tampa Bay, where they will take on the Lightning Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. The Hurricanes return to the RBC Center Saturday night as they host the Lightning for a 7 p.m. face-off.
