RALEIGH, NC (March 9, 2000) – Jim Cain, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced today the Hurricanes will host a “Storm Zone Members Only Party” on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. Storm Zone members will watch a private practice that is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. and then will have the chance to meet Hurricanes’ players on the concourse.

“The Storm Zone Private Party is always a special day for our young fans and our players,” stated Cain. “This event provides our younger fans the unique opportunity to meet their favorite Hurricanes up close, and we appreciate Austin Quality Foods’ sponsorship of such a fun, and worthwhile event.”

The registration fee to the Storm Zone Club is $10.00, which allows each member entrance into the Austin Quality Foods Storm Zone Party, a complete set of player cards, a wallet, a folder, and ticket and merchandise discounts.

Fans can register for the Austin Quality Foods Storm Zone Club at the door on the day of the event.

The Austin Quality Foods Storm Zone is limited to fans that are 18-years and younger.

The doors at the Entertainment and Sports Arena will open at 11:00 a.m. and the practice will start at 11:30 a.m. There will be raffle prizes, snacks by Austin Quality Foods, clowns, door prizes, and much more. Hurricanes’ radio announcer, Chuck Kaiton, will narrate the event.
