For the second consecutive year, Jussi Jokinen
has pledged to donate $300 for every goal he scores and $150 for every assist he earns this season. Last season, his 19 goals and 33 assists resulted in a $10,650 donation to the Kids 'N Community Foundation.

This is an incredible gift; each penny of Jokinen’s donation directly supports health and education programming for the children of our community. His contribution last season could support two transplant suites at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham for an entire year! Each suite can host an entire family, providing all the comforts of home, while their child is undergoing an organ transplant and treatment.
Suites are offered to families at minimal cost while RMH relies on generous donors to subsidize daily operating costs. These families are away from home for months at a time, taking a significant leave from their places of employment (often unpaid) and trying grasp a new reality. You can only imagine the impact that a gift like Jussi Jokinen
’s could make on a family, a family dealing with a somber diagnosis no child should ever face. Through gifts like Jussi’s, these families are supported by a caring environment ensuring that their child leaves a champion.
Thank you, Jussi for being our champion on the ice and in the community. Without a doubt, your gift will provide an even greater impact this season through the Kids ‘N Community Foundation.
To be a hero, just like Jussi Jokinen
