RALEIGH, NC – Howard Sadel, Director of Marketing and Creative Services for the Carolina Hurricanes, announced today that the team will film a large-scale scene for a television commercial to promote the 2005-06 season on Tuesday at the RBC Center. The filming of the commercial is closed to the media.

Tuesday’s shoot will feature three Hurricanes players and calls for two types of extras – Caniacs and themed workers. Extras wishing to portray Caniacs should be in full “fan attire,” including jerseys, t-shirts or face paint – however you would best dress to cheer on the Hurricanes at the RBC Center. Themed workers should wear whatever uniform or attire best represents their profession – police officers, firefighters, lab technicians, teachers, farmers, mechanics, etc.

Fans wishing to be extras for the commercial should arrive at the RBC Center box office between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. and expect to stay until 6 p.m. Please call 919-861.2300 for additional information.
