Canes Reassign Brandon Nolan to Albany

Forward has played five NHL games this season

RALEIGH, NC—Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has reassigned forward Brandon Nolan to the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Nolan, 24, was recalled to Carolina yesterday, and played in the team’s game last night against New Jersey. The St. Catharine’s, Ont., native made his NHL debut with Carolina at Tampa Bay on Dec. 22, and has played in five games with the Hurricanes this season, earning one assist and averaging 6:37 of ice time. Nolan (6’1”, 192 lbs.) ranks second among River Rats skaters with 13 goals, and tied for second with 27 points while playing in 32 AHL games this season.
