PHILADELPHIA -- It's that time of year again: day one of the 2014 NHL Draft is here, and CarolinaHurricanes.com is live in Philadelphia to bring you everything. The Carolina Hurricanes hold the seventh overall pick in what may be an unpredictable first round.

Though the 2014 NHL Draft wasn’t as stacked as others with top-end defensive talent, there were two that caught scouts’ attention, and one was taken first overall.
The other was Haydn Fleury, selected seventh overall by the Carolina Hurricanes.
