The second-annual event raised $1.67 million for the Foundation - a total that wouldn't have been possible without the passion and generosity of the team's fans.
"We truly could not be any more thankful for the immense support we received at this year's Knight To Remember event," said Vegas Golden Knights Foundation President Kim Frank. "Because of our Vegas Born fans, the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation has the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the Las Vegas community for years to come."
As guests arrived at XS Nightclub inside the Wynn Las Vegas, they mingled with Golden Knights players, coaches and staff while surveying the various silent auction items provided by the team and other members of the community. Items in the silent auction included a game-worn Marc-Andre Fleury goalie mask, a VGK golf cart, a team-signed electric VGK bike and other VIP packages and experiences in Las Vegas and beyond.
Players traded in their suit jackets for aprons when it came time for dinner. They worked together and with chefs from the Wynn to make and serve some of the specialty bites that the guests enjoyed for dinner.
The team gathered on stage inside and saluted the fans who made the event so special with their donations. VGK broadcasters Dave Goucher and Shane Hnidy then kicked off the live auction portion of the evening that allowed guests to bid on top-notch items and experiences from the Golden Knights organization.
Some high-bidding guests will get to hit the golf course with Golden Knights players, go on an exclusive trip to Hawaii, or enjoy dinner with Chairman and CEO Bill Foley and his family at their home in Las Vegas.
