The Philadelphia Flyers announced that their annual visit to Stone Harbor, New Jersey for Trial on the Isle will take place on Wednesday, July 8.
The conditioning and team building exercises will be a part of the club's Development Camp, which will be announced with dates, roster and a schedule at a later date.
The competition will begin approximately 8:45 a.m. at the firehouse located on 2nd Ave and 96th streets and will proceed to the beach where the players will have to perform some physical task as well as team oriented task.
Once again, the Trial will include water sports at the Yacht Club, a meet and greet for fans at the Stone Harbor Elementary School and will conclude with a beach volleyball bash beginning at 4 p.m.
The prospects for this year’s Trail on the Isle are still to be determined but often include most, if not all, of the team’s newest picks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, which takes place on June 26-27 in Sunrise, Florida.
Last year, Flyers fans got a chance to see all six draft picks, including first round pick, Travis Sanheim. The Flyers have had each of their first round draft picks participate in Trial on the Isle in each of their last four seasons and have had 24 of their last 25 draft picks attend Development Camp and Trial on the Isle over the last three seasons.
