On this date in 1982, Bobby Clarke appeared in his 1,000th NHL game. He is the only player in Flyers history to have played 1,000 games as a Flyer.

He finished his career with a total of 1,144 games played, while averaging over a point per game with 1,210 points in that span.

On this date in 2001, Keith Primeau is named the 13th captain in Flyers history.
In his first full season with the Flyers, Primeau led the team in goals (34) and tied his career high in points (73). As captain he led the Flyers to the Eastern Conference Final in 2004.

Through 152 minutes of hockey, Primeau scored the game-winning goal in the fifth overtime against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2000 Eastern Conference Semifinals, a goal that changed the series, and the entire playoffs for Philadelphia.
