On this date in 1967, right wing Leon Rochefort scored three goals in the Flyers' 4-1 win against the Canadiens in Montreal. His three-goal game was the first "hat trick" in Flyers history.

Rochefort would also go on to post the second hat trick in Flyers history as he scored three goals in the Flyers' 7-3 win against the Minnesota North Stars in a game played in Quebec City on February 22, 1968. These would be the only two hat tricks of Rochefort's career as a Flyer.
