On this date in 1983, Paul Holmgren recorded 10 penalty minutes in the Flyers' 6-5 loss against the Los Angeles Kings at the Spectrum.

With the 10 penalty minutes in the game, Holmgren reached 1,513 career penalty minutes as a Flyer, breaking Andre Dupont's team record of 1,505. Holmgren received five-minute major penalties for spearing and fighting at 14:33 of the first period.

He would finish his Flyers career with 1,600 penalty minutes, which is currently second on the Flyers All-Time List (behind Rick Tocchet – 1,817).
